The Gadget Helpline has learned that there will be snazzy white versions of three BlackBerry smartphones hitting UK shops within the next month.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900, BlackBerry Torch 9810 and BlackBerry Curve 9360 will all be going into the paint shop at RIM headquarters to receive the white treatment, giving BlackBerry fans the chance to get their hands on a more exclusive ‘Berry, and be a bit different from their mates.
We know from previous experience that BlackBerry fans go nuts for a glossy white smartphone – the white versions of the Bold 9700 and 9780 were extremely popular, especially in the UK.
Phones4u has announced that it will be stocking white versions of the BlackBerry Torch 9810 (Torch 2) and the Curve 9360, which is the latest upgrade in the Curve range. They will also be stocking a glossy white version of the Bold 9900 – a smartphone that has been one of our favourites so far this year.
The white Curve 9360 will only be available on Orange and T-Mobile at Phones4u, though the Torch 9810 will be available on most networks. Phones4u have an exclusive deal on the white Torch 2, and you won’t find it anywhere else for a while.
We have to say, the Torch 9810 does look very classy in white. The white finish coupled with the shiny chrome surround certainly looks the part.
Prices will remain the same for all three handsets as their Black counterparts. The BlackBerry Bold 9900 in white will be available free on contract from £32 per month as of November 10th. The Torch 9810 in white will go on sale November 1st and the Curve 9360 launches in white on October 29th.
