Brother Industries has recently displayed an alternative to standard batteries; a vibration harvesting generator. The company who are generally better known for it’s line of printers, scanners and fax machines are hoping this technology will replace toxic rechargeable batteries and disposable alkaline and lithium batteries.

Freecom Announce World’s First USB 3.0 External Hard Drive
You are probably familiar with the idea of a USB external hard drive and you probably know that there are two main standards for USB, USB 1.1 and USB 2.0. O2 to Launch Palm Pre In The UK on October 16th; Tariffs Same as iPhone
It has been a long time coming but finally the Palm Pre is coming to the UK. We reported back in July that the Palm Pre will be available exclusively on O2 in the UK. At the time of the announcement O2 said that the phone would be available in the UK “in time for the winter holidays.” Now O2 have decided on the launch date, October 16th.
