Samsung Galaxy S5’s 16MP camera referenced again in Twitter leak

  • by

Rumours of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S5’s camera capabilities have been further confirmed in a new Twitter leak which suggests the smartphone’s main shooter will capture 16-megapixel quality images.

The leak from @evleaks on Twitter shows a snap supposedly taken on the Samsung Galaxy S5 itself, the upcoming flagship smartphone from the South Korean company which is believed to be taking centre stage at the Mobile World Congress next week.

Product number Samsung-SM-G900A was attached to the picture, which shows a random and obscured part of a computer keyboard. This is the model number previously attached to Galaxy S5 while it was in testing and the image tweeted boasts a huge 5312 x 2988 resolution – demonstrating an increase over the current Samsung Galaxy S4’s 13-megapixel sensor.

This tallies up with previous speculation and benchmark information relating to the Samsung Galaxy S5 camera sensor tech and we’d think that it’s safe to now place bets on superior shooting with this year’s edition of the popular smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is also alleged to come along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.5 GHz quad-core CPU, faster than the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, and it will of course be expected to come running latest Android 4.4.2 KitKat software.
