Samsung’s hybrid tablet/smartphone the Galaxy Note will be available in the U.S on AT&T from February 19th for $299.99 on a two-year contract.
Eager U.S customers will be able to get the device even earlier from the AT&T’s website, where orders will be delivered on February 17th.
The Galaxy Note comes with an impressive 5.3-inch Super AMOLED screen which boasts a 720p resolution of 1280×720 – it’s the closest device we’ve seen to offer a full tablet experience, but on a mobile phone.
The Note has one particularly special party piece: the S Pen. The new stylus pen delivers fast, responsive and precise controls. Samsung said about the pen: “users can easily sketch drawings, jot down notes, or write emails and texts quickly and easily in free-form handwriting.”
“The Galaxy Note brings a new level of efficiency to busy customers who would normally rely on multiple devices,” said Jeff Bradley, Senior Vice President of Devices, AT&T Mobility and Consumer Markets.
“This new breed of smartphone helps consumers accomplish more with a single device than ever before.
“The unique all-in-one experience can simplify daily life while tapping into AT&T’s 4G LTE network to let customers work even faster” he added.
At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas this month, Samsung devoted a big portion of its floor space to showing off the Galaxy Note and hired artists to use the device to draw caricatures of convention-goers to show-off the creative side of the tablet/phone.
