Samsung announces thinnest ever Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 handsets

Samsung have been having a hard time in 2014 with the sales of its Android running smartphones, but today the company has announced yet another set of new Android OS running phones, called the Samsung Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5.

The two smartphones are reportedly Samsung “Thinnest Phones Yet” and come with a sleek metal-bodied design. Two variants of the handset will be released with slight changes to the internals of the A3 and A5.

Both handsets boast premium builds and slender designs and measure in at 6.7mm for the A3 and 6.9mm for the Galaxy A5.

 

Both the Galaxy A3 and the Galaxy A5 come with a 1.2GHz quad-core processors, 16GB of storage and microSD expansion, but the A3 comes with a 4.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED screen, 8-megapixel rear camera, 1GB of RAM and a 1,900mAh power cell.

The A5 is the more powerful device with a bigger 5-inch HD Super AMOLED screen, 2GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 2,300mAh battery. The handsets are aimed social media users with the 5-megapixel front-facing cameras and a range of software features for selfies.

Currently Samsung has announced the handsets will be released in China next month, with Plans to release them worldwide in selected Market across 2015. They have ‘ full metal unibody designs’ and will come in various colours including Pearl White, Midnight Black, Platinum Silver, Soft Pink, Light Blue and Champagne Gold.
