While there are a number of companies that will allow you to make an extra quid by recycling your old mobile phone, you can now also get paid for other old electronics nesting in your bottom drawer.
Orange has launched a new Recycle and Reward scheme which will take your old laptop, phone or portable music player, and will pay you for the privilege of your junk.
A recycled Nokia N95 can earn you £85, while you could walk away with a cool £95 for a Sony Ericsson C905- not a bad start to the latest Blackberry you’ve been eyeballing off.

Orange estimates that two-thirds of UK households have old mobiles laying around which totals a staggering 90 million handsets worth around £450m.
“Recycle & Reward is just another small step for us, as a business and for the public, in our journey towards greener, more sustainable practices,” said Paul French, head of Care Products at Orange.
Orange is also providing a very nifty Copy and Keep service where all important media on your old device is stored before the device is sent for recycling.
If you’re part of Orange’s Care program the Copy and Keep service is free. If you’re not on the programme and don’t have the time to back up your old photos yourself, the service costs just £6.
Orange believes Copy and Keep is an important service as it says 38 per cent of people don’t back up content simply because they don’t know how to, while 25 per cent just forget.
