Another big announcement for the Nintendo 3DS from the Games Developers Conference, is that Netflix, the online video streaming service will now be incorporated into the new Nintendo 3DS, along with a vast range of downloadable goodies!
The Nintendo “eShop” feature will allow 3DS users access to their Netflix accounts and enjoy full use of the service via the handheld games system. Starting in the USA for as little as $8 per month, gamers will be able to stream movies, TV and trailers using a similar service to those currently available to Nintendo Wii owners.
Nintendo have also confirmed that a range of “3D Classics” will become available to download from the eShop to the Nintendo 3DS, including a large selection of old favourites from various platforms which will now be available for the first time in the glorious new 3D format. The range will include titles from Game Boy, Game Gear and other handheld games platforms of yesteryear, now in a whole new dimension, all glasses-free. Meaning no goofy goggles falling off your face while hardcore gaming!
The Nintendo 3DS launches March 25 in the UK, with current pre-order prices being around £200.
