iPhone 6 Pre-Orders Break Record Again

It’s been announced by Apple that pre-orders for the iPhone 6 have yet again outstripped previous records, set back when the iPhone 5 arrived on the scene. The record was surpassed on the very first night both models of the phone, the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, were available. Both phones are expected to set new standards for features and connectivity, although hardware wise they are somewhat dated.

If you can get hold of one…

“Response to iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus has been incredible with a record number of preorders overnight,” an Apple spokesperson said to Re/code in a statement on the situation.

In fact demand is so high that the larger, more powerful iPhone 6 is completely backlogged with orders, meaning the device might not be around +for a while for any more orders to be placed.

The US is a much bigger market, but we’re confident the same should happen here in the United Kingdom, as the phone becomes available. Your best bet is to try and pre-order as soon as possible.

There’s been a huge demand for phone carriers to supply pre-orders for the iPhone 6 as well. In the US carriers such as AT&T have also reported demand being higher than the previous two generation of iPhones.

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus

Pre-orders seem to have used up all available supply, with shipping of the next batch of pre-orders being pushed back to sometime in October by Verizon, AT&T and even though Apple themselves. T-Mobile hasn’t got enough phones either, saying that they simply can’t ship out any more iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus models “due to high demand.”.

It’s very common that a major Apple release sells out instantly, but you’d think that they might have a little more stick this time around… once again, people are letting their money talk with regards to how much the iPhone 6 is wanted.

The phone should arrive over here in the UK soon, availability news is here in this article which we wrote when the information came out.
