Adding Album artwork to display on a media player can be achieved in many different ways, including using various PC softwares.

Most album artwork that is displayed in media players will not transfer to Portable media players as they are a not part of the file they are merely associated with the file.

The following is a Guide on how to add Cover art to media files using Windows Media Player 11.
Using a PC

  1. Open Windows Media Player.
  2. Click on the Library tab.
  3. Click the desired Track/Album until the track lists are displayed.
Note: This will only work when the track listing is displayed not the album view.
  4. Right Click the desired file(s).

Note: Group Files can be selected by holding down Ctrl+clicking the desired files.
  5. Click on Advanced Tag Editor.
  6. Click on the Pictures tab.
  7. Click on Add.
  8. Click the Desired image.
Note: most the file explorer will automatically open to the file in which the media is stored. The Image may need to be sourced from the internet.
  9. Click Open.
  10. Click the Picture Type dropdown and select the desired picture type (Optional).
  11. Click on Apply.
  12. Click on OK.

The album artwork will now be stored to the MP3 file.

You can then simply “Drag & Drop” the files as normal, but the Album art should display also (where possible).
