Facebook Zero – The Lighter Way To Enjoy Facebook!

Facebook, the world’s most popular social networking site, has announced a new “Zero” version of it’s website specifically aimed at mobile phones. The site will be made up of text only in an attempt to make it easier for mobile users to connect quickly, and also to keep network bandwidth usage down to a minimum.

The new version of the popular social networking site will be available in the coming weeks and is said to use even less data than the current ‘Facebook Lite’ mobile page. Statistics were recently revealed by the GSM Association showing that UK mobile users spend almost 2.2billion minutes browsing facebook per month.

Omitting data intensive parts of the website such as photos and videos means that users with slow or poor internet connections will be able to connect and browse the site much more quickly.

Users should expect to see ‘Facebook Zero’ in the next 3-4 weeks.
