Bungie Halts Bungie.net Stat Tracking for Halo, Celebrates with Awesome Infographic

20 billion games of Halo have been played for 123 billion hours of collective playtime. 136 billion kills have been made in Halo, almost 20 times the current population of the planet, and more humans that ever lived on Earth.

These are some of the rather crazy numbers released by ex-Halo studio Bungie as they complete their Halo service switchover to 343 Industries. Sadly those numbers stop here, as the release comes as Bungie turn off Halo’s global stat tracking for good.

It’s been quite a ride for Bungie and Halo players alike, with 235,182 years in combined Halo playtime since Halo 2 – and Bungie’s stat racking – launched in November, 2004. The stats measure all the way up to the present day, also including Halo 3, ODST and Reach.
