BlackBerry 10 OS sporting London, Lisbon and Laguna phone specs leak

With the BlackBerry brand’s “savior” smartphone OS system on its way, the closer we get the more news there is on reported RIM smartphones that will run the BlackBerry 10 OS.

Today some specifications have leaked online supposedly for someBlackBerry 10 OS sporting touchscreen devices, which show what hardware RIM are going to run its new OS on.

The leak has come from an internal video detailing RIM’s first L-Series and N-Series devices that was recently leaked on Vimeo, which was then very shortly removed from the site.

The video shows three phones, but having a look at the specs it looks more like the same handset but in three different regional variations, so possibly a European, US and other region. Reportedly the leak is of one of the regional  codenamed handsets,  so the UK version would be the “BlackBerry London” , Canadian is the “BlackBerry Lisbon” and the “BlackBerry Laguna” will be for the US.

The specs reveal a 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280 x 768 and a density of 355 ppi, plus a decent 8-megapixel camera which will also have auto-focus and flash, along with a 2-megapixel front facing camera for video calls and such.

Additionally, a host of modern connectivity tech including NFC, Wi-Fi and A-GPS are all listed, but a notable miss is the lack of 4G LTE connectivity, but as this is an unofficial leak we can still hold out hope as the US and Canadian versions will surely get the 4G connectivity.

Even if the leak is real we still have a long wait before we can get our hands on the handsets as RIM have pegged the BlackBerry 10 OS to be revealed around May 2013 and in that time RIM may choose to change things up considerably in the specifications stakes.

With the way the phones are moving at the moment a 4.2 inch screen may be tad on the small side!
