Amazon have just released a Kindle application for their Blackberry devices which will allow Blackberry users to access e-books without having to use an actual Kindle device.
Similar to the Kindle app for the iPhone, the Kindle app for the Blackberry will enable users to automatically sync between their mobile phone devices as well their Kindles and PCs.
In addition to this there is an in-app book store as well the ability to create bookmarks and view comments from other portable Kindle readers.
However, it has been suggested that Amazon will be offering some additional features to the Kindle app for the Blackberry in the future. Although, Amazon have not confirmed anything there is speculation that advanced features could include the ability to scroll and search through pages and books, which will in turn offer users with a more seamless reading experience.
The app is currently only available free in the US. Internationally the device and app is available, but Amazon have not confirmed whether the app will also be free.
